Green School Inspection...did we pass?
The Green School Inspector visited our school on Wednesday 22.04.09. She met with the Coiste Glas, and asked them lots of questions about their Green School Mission! The good news is that we passed! We have been recommended to receive our very first Green Flag! We expect to receive official notification in early May, and expect to receive the actual flag before the end of May. Well done everyone!

UH OH!!!
Some undercover agents undertook a bin inspection on the staffroom bins on Thursday 26th March 2009. They were checking to see if the teachers had managed to put all the clean, dry paper and plastic in the recycling bin. We're afraid the news is not good.
Only 2 bins, but a lot of confusion.
The Coiste Glas will meet next week to discuss the matter. Teachers.....watch out!!

Anti Litter DVD arrives
We received an excellent anti-litter DVD from Dublin Corporation last week and all the classes are getting to watch it, in turn. We are working hard at maintaing a litter-free status, but it is not easy. For example, today, there is a large black plastic bag of rubbish which has been left on the school grounds. We are really disappointed that somebody would do this.
